Principal business architect of Fannie Mae during the re-design of the support system for mortgage-backed securities in the US, resulting in the creation of the CSS joint venture between Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
More recently consultant on strategy and systems design for Ginnie Mae, and the co-founder of several initiatives supported by AshlandV.
Nationally-ranked debater in high school, now coach for a nationally successful high school forensics team. Deep commitment to the support of children at risk. Former chairman of the Center for Adoption Support and Education, now a director of The Barker Adoption Foundation.

Tom Fitzpatrick
An experienced advisor, investor, company founder, lawyer, and simply soundingboard for new ventures. Has worked all over the world, including business in France and western Europe, in Taiwan and China, in India and in Brazil. An experienced board director for public and private companies. Now co-founder or director of several initiatives supported by AshlandV.
In the early days of university-based venture capital in the US, advised the University of Chicago and its path-breaking subsidiary, ARCH Development Corporation, in exploring technology licensing, raising a captive venture fund, and starting a variety of new ventures. Ultimately served in 1994 as acting president helping ARCH transition leadership teams.
Served on the Executive Committee of a national association of social welfare agencies in the USA while it navigated a transition in governance from public representatives to agency constituents. Has served as a trustee of the National Urban League.
